People often ask us the difference between Cinematic and Traditional Wedding Videography? The answer is pretty simple once you know it!
A Cinematic Wedding Video is telling a story. We do this through the mix of speeches, images, and music. The film is shot differently as the Cinematographer will shoot in high quality short clips. This is because they are shooting to tell a story, not just document every single minute of the day.
A Traditional videographer has a typical video camera that is usually shot continuously. There’s less creativity involved besides documenting everything that’s being done. There’s no storytelling involved and it doesn’t give you those emotions you would get from a Cinematic Wedding.
I don’t consider one style to be better than the other, it all depends on taste. However Cinematic Videos are becoming very popular! Our Style is Cinematic, shot in a relaxed and candid way. It was great to shoot Hanh and Derek's wedding video. It was different to most weddings, starting with a Vietnamese Tea Ceremony and finishing up with some Lion Dancers! Cool!
